It’s just little ol’ me, Michaela, and my trusty sewing machine; self-taught with an eye for detail and a huuuuuge obsession for pretty fabric.
My Bunting
My bunting comes in two styles:
- Standard bunting
- Mini bunting
My standard bunting is available in lengths of approximately 3 metres or 5 metres, with each pennant (bunting triangle) measuring approximately 18cm x 20cm.
My mini bunting is quite a bit smaller in length at approximately 1.8m, with each pennant measuring approximately 14cm x 14cm.
All of my bunting is double sided (two fabric triangles sewn together). My standard bunting is identical on both sides of the pennant, whilst my mini bunting has an obvious ‘front & back’. Intended to be hung against a wall, the reverse of my mini bunting consists of a plain cotton fabric; either cream, or a colour that compliments the overall bunting theme.
Choosing your bunting
From the offset, I always said I wanted my online shop to be simple to navigate. I therefore have just four categories of bunting to choose from: standard, mini, themed & unique.
Standard Bunting
If you’re hosting a party, outdoors or indoors, and need some colourful decor to lift the theme, my standard bunting will do just that. It can be draped corner to corner or tree to tree, since the fabric design can be viewed from any angle due to its mirrored-image front and back. It comes in long lengths of approximately 3 or 5 metres which means it can easily fill a room or open space.
Mini Bunting
My mini bunting works wonderful as decor in a bedroom; kitchen; living space…you name it. You’ll find the fabric choice to be quite quirky in my mini bunting range as I like to create pieces that are individual and ‘not to be found on the high street’. Drape the bunting against a wall; up high just under a ceiling or arrange delicately in front of a large mirror and you’ll achieve an instant pop of colour & add the ‘wow’ factor!
Themed Bunting
My themed bunting is designed to celebrate special occasions; whether it be a birthday, wedding, prom or leaving do. Consisting of lettered pennants, intricately crafted using vibrant fabric-backgrounds with contrasting felt lettering delicately pressed on the surface, it’s perfect to drape at any party venue (outdoors or indoors); adding a pop of ‘whimsical-cheer’.
Unique Pieces
And then there is my fourth category of bunting, my ‘unique pieces’, made from leftover fabric (I don’t like to waste bits) or ‘niche fabric finds’ that aren’t in large quantities. These bunting pieces will be absolute one-offs; never to be made again. More than likely my ‘unique pieces’ will be a tad smaller in length, just over 1 metre. But for some shoppers, this length may be exactly what you’re looking for.
And that’s it. It really is as simple as that…’handmade high quality bunting; intricately crafted by little ol’ me’.
